Ang Lee's 2003, The Hulk  title sequence  was shot over two days at Industrial Light & Magic--San Rafael, California. Specimens of Aequorea victoria, the Crystal Jelly, were needed for their bioluminescent GFP (green fluorescent protein) characteristic. The implication is that The Hulk is green because he’s the first GFP transgenic human.
